What are warts?

Warts are amongst the most common skin infections caused by viruses in the human papillomavirus and HPV family. The usual symptoms for these conditions include skin overgrowth on any part of the body. Flat warts, genital warts, mosaic warts, periungual warts and plantar warts are some of the most common types of warts.

What are the symptoms?

Warts can take any shape and affect the body in many different ways. Whilst common warts lead to dry and rough skin on hands and legs, flat warts can be recognised as flesh coloured, flat growths commonly found on the wrists, knees, hands and neck. Digitate warts are long, thin and flesh coloured, they usually appear on face, eyelids, neck or lips.

There are as many symptoms of warts as there are types. You can easily recognise the common types and also find a wart removal treatment that is fairly simple to use.

Wart Removal: The Modern Approach

Today, people find it much easier to reduce the intensity of symptoms by removing the warts altogether. Clinical removal and medication are one of the most trusted ways to remove warts, but this can often be painful and embarrassing. The evolution of over-the-counter wart removal sprays and treatments that you can use at home have also become more popular.

There are all sorts of options but most interesting has been the growth of homeopathic and herbal topical solutions. Wartrol is probably one of the better-known solutions offering relief and treatment at the same time. You can easily use such options to treat your own warts, as well as treat the entire family.
