Premature ejaculation or PE is when a man ejaculates before he wanted to or too so. It is one of the most common sexual problems faced by men worldwide. In a recent survey, it was discovered but over 10% of men in the UK have suffered from this problem. There isn't an exact definition to what premature ejaculation actually is because the amount of time that is 'satisfactory' for one couple would be different to others. The 'average man' would normally last around 7.3 minutes but again this is an average and varies with every man. Fortunately there are treatments available to men wanting to last longer during sexual intercourse.
Premature Ejaculation occurs more in younger men but this isn't to say that it doesn't occur in older men too, its just that as men get older they find that they have more control over their orgasms. PE is primarily caused by anxiety, excitement and nervousness, which can cause an acute sensitivity of the local nervous system that sets off orgasms too quickly. A simple treatment and cure is to have sexual intercourse after you have ejaculated for the first time, this is because it can take a longer time to reach orgasm for a second time. The downside to premature ejaculation is that it can ruin a man's confidence in the bedroom and can also strain a relationship, as neither partner can feel sexually satisfied.
Primarily premature ejaculation is reaching orgasm too quickly and there are many reasons and factors to this. PE is only a problem if you and your partner feel that your sexual experiences are not satisfactory as a result of this. There are many methods, products and therapies you can embark upon to treat these including delay sprays, creams and gels.
